The Ohio Guide
The Ohio Guide was one of the state driving guides produced by the Federal Writers Project
employing the best writers and photographers of the time. The writers were uncredited. The
Guide included both tours along major routes and 17 cities. I have been photographing
mentioned places. I have been choosing the currently lesser-known (e.g. Taborville) and on
places that have special meaning to me (e.g. Cleveland Public Library.) When practical, I have
included people currently involved in these landmarks. This is not an attempt to rephotograph.
Rather, I am interested in how the subjects relate to the landmarks, famous or overlooked.
